DSP Davinder Singh
Days after the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) police nabbed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Davinder Singh while ferrying two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists out of Kashmir Valley, it has revealed that he had received Rs 12 lakh, reports the Times of India.
Singh, who was suspended from the force on Monday (13 January) had provided cover to the terrorists at his own residence in Srinagar's Indira Nagar, right next to the headquarters of the Indian Army's 15 Corps.
The details have been revealed during interrogation by various agencies including the Intelligence Bureau (IB), Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW), military intelligence and the policy forces.
It is likely that the Union Ministry for Home Affairs would handover the case to the elite National Investigation Agency (NIA) which would thereafter find the real motive of the terrorists and Singh's links to terrorism and his past engagement with terrorists.
