The role of The Resistance Force (TRF), a Pakistan aided terror outfit, in terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir will be flagged by India at the upcoming virtual meeting of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to be held on 24 June, reports Economic Times.
The meeting which was scheduled to be held in Beijing, will now be conducted online in wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
In the meeting, the FATF will review the performance of Pakistan in prosecuting and penalising financing of terrorist outfits like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen.
Security agencies suspect that the TRF is a front of LeT and was created to step up terrorism in response to the Article 370 abrogation, home ministry officials said.
Earlier in February this year, the anti-terror financing watchdog had warned Pakistan of serious action and directed it to implement the 27-point action plan by June. If Pakistan failed to implement the action plan, the FATF had said that it would urge its members to advise their financial institutions to give special attention to business relations and transanctions with Pakistan for blacklisting.
