Days after the phased and partial resumption of services, the Delhi Metro resumed its full services across all its corridors today (12 September) by opening the last remaining Airport Express Line, reports Economic Times.
With all corridors opened, Delhi Metro will now function at the same timing as in the pre-COVID-19 times, from 6:00am to 11:00pm in the night. It should be noted that DMRC has emphasised that passengers must abide by the guidelines while travelling.
This comes as the Union Ministry of Home Affairs had recently issued the guidelines allowing the Metro rail systems across the nation to resume services in a graded manner.
Having begun its operations in 2002, Delhi Metro has evolved into a dense rapid transit system operational not just in Delhi, but also in neighbouring cities like Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Noida, Bahadurgarh and Ballabhgarh.
