Foreign Secretary Harsh Shringla Set To Fly To Russia As India Looks To Rekindle Deep Ties With Moscow

Nation's top diplomat, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla is set to fly to Russia for a series of high-level meetings in Moscow scheduled on coming Wednesday (17 February) as India looks to reinvigorate the long and deep bilateral ties, reports Times of India.

Shringla would be engaging with his Russian counterpart Igor Morgulov and is likely to brief the Russian establishment on the India-China disengagement understanding. The two sides are also likely to exchange views on President Joseph Biden led new administration at the White House, and China and Myanmar.

During his visit, Shringla will also be addressing the Diplomatic Academy in Moscow for a big canvas view of the India-Russian relationship.

Meanwhile, it should also be noted that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is also expected to visit India later this year.
