Former India Cricket Team Captain Sourav Ganguly Censures Imran Khan Niazi’s Speech At UNGA, Calls It ‘Rubbish’

Former captain of the Indian cricket team, Sourav Ganguly labelled Pakistani Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) as 'rubbish' and lamented that Khan was no longer the cricketer the world knew, reports The Hindu.

Replying to Virendra Sehwag's critique of PM Khan's anti-India narrative-ridden speech from the 74th session of the UNGA, Ganguly said, "Viru, I see this and I am shocked... a speech which is unheard of...a world which needs peace, Pakistan as a country needs it the most... and the leader speaks such rubbish...not the Imran Khan the cricketer world knew...speech in UN was poor."

PM Khan in his rhetorical speech had threatened of a conventional war between the two nuclear-powered nation if things were to go berserk and out of control. This had been criticised by India in its response as brinkmanship in the garb of statesmanship.
