After staying away from domestic politics for long, the former president of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, General Parvez Musharraf is gearing up to revive his political party , All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), reports The Economic Times.

Aged 76-years-old now and presently resident in Dubai, Musharraf is set to address his supporters in Islamabad today (6 October) via a video link, marking the occasion of his party's foundation day.


Thereafter the suspension of the constitution, Musharraf had imposed a state of emergency in Pakistan in November 2007 following which several justices of Pakistan's supreme court had been put in house arrest, while over 100 other judges had been sacked.
