Giant Leap For India-US Space Ties — India To Sign Artemis Accords, Send Joint Mission To Space Station In 2024

India has made the call to join the Artemis Accords — a coalition of like-minded countries committed to civil space exploration — and will collaborate with NASA on a joint mission to the International Space Station in 2024, according to the White House.
Hours before the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Joe Biden in the Oval Office, a senior administration official stated, "On space, we will be able to announce that India is signing the Artemis Accords, which advance a common vision for space exploration for the benefit of all humankind."
The Artemis Accords, grounded in the Outer Space Treaty of 1967 (OST), is a non-binding set of principles designed to guide civil space exploration and use in the 21st century.
