India has become Dubai’s second-biggest trading partner with the total volume of the trade amounting to 38.5 billion dirham in the first half of 2021.
India is only behind China in this respect and is even ahead of the United States of America (USA), which is ranked third, as per a statement by the Dubai government.
Dubai has carried out trades worth 86.7 billion dirham with China in the first half of the ongoing year. Similarly, the figure stands at 32 billion dirham for USA in the same time period.
Gold, telecom and diamonds topped the list concerned around Dubai’s external trade in the given span of time.
Similarly, the middle-eastern country’s non-external trade jumped by 31 per cent to 722.3 billion dirham in the first half of this year.
“Dubai’s existing sea and air network will be expanded to cover 200 new cities around the world. We are confident that we will continue to build on our growth momentum to achieve our ambitious sustainable development projects and plans,” Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was quoted in a report by the Financial Express.
