LG Murmu e-inaugurated the projects which have been completed at a cost of Rs 81 crore to the exchequer under several central schemes like DDUGJY, IPDS, PMDP Urban and PMDP Rural. Over 30,000 consumers, 300 industries, and 200 hotels would benefit from the capacity build due to these projects.

Apart from this, the projects primarily included the construction of new 33/11 KV electricity sub-stations, and also capacity enhancement of existing 33/11 KV sub-stations by the installation of additional transformers, or by augmentation of the extant transformers.

According to J&K's Principal Secretary for Power Development Department, Rohit Kansal, these projects would provide reliable power to the consumers during all seasons, especially in winters when the area is snow-bound.
