The B Y Yediyurappa led Karnataka government has withdrawn its night curfew order following a review, the Chief Minister's Office announced today (24 December), ANI has reported.
The state had earlier issued an order permitting midnight mass, in light of the night curfew which was supposed to start effective today.
Initially Karnataka had imposed a night curfew between 11 PM and 5 PM from today till 2 January across the state in the wake of a new coronavirus strain discovered in the UK. Under this curfew people were strictly ordered not to go outside their house during the night.
During the curfew the movement of goods and empty trucks was permitted and 50 per cent staff on night duty was allowed to go to office.
