Kolkata Police Breaks Down Stage Erected For J P Nadda's Dharna Against Violence Against Party Workers: Report

The Bharatiya Janata Party chief J P Nadda is set to hold a sit-in protest in Kolkata on Wednesday (5 May) against the killing of BJP workers during the post-poll violence in West Bengal.

However, the stage which was set for Nadda's sit-in protest has been broken down by the Kolkata police, reports Zee News.

The BJP chief is in West Bengal on a two-day visit to the state as the party has alleged that Trinamool Congress workers unleashed "wide spread post results retributive violence" BJP workers and supporters.

After the break down of the protest site, the sit-in will now reportedly take place at the Hastings Office.

Earlier on 4 May, Nadda met families of the BJP workers who were affected by the violence in West Bengal and said that in independent India, 'this much intolerance is unprecedented till date'.
