Luxury vehicles company Maserati will be aiming to increase its presence in the Tier II and Tier III Indian cities in order to expand its foothold in the country.
The carmaker has also revamped its after-sales and overall service support to aid and roll out better experience to its customers.
Bojan Jankulovski, head of Maserati Asia-Pacific, explained to the Press Trust of India (PTI), “Maserati has seen a hike in demand in smaller cities although traditionally we enjoyed steady patronage in the metros.”
Jankulovski, however, cautioned that physically expanding the network of their presence in such cities is actually dependent on their partners for this purpose.
The senior executive corroborated his stance by mentioning that a new wave of demand is rising from non-metro and Tier II cities like Indore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Goa, Mangalore, Lucknow, Kanpur amongst others.
Jankulovski expressed optimism with respect to the Indian market considering the range of products that Maserati offers as of now. “Over the past year, Maserati has witnessed an increased demand from these Tier II cities,” he quipped in an e-mail to the PTI.
He also said that these cities hold the potential to keep on providing sizable opportunities in the future and also catalyze in increasing demand for ‘super luxury brands’.
