In a major endorsement for Uttar Pradesh (UP) Government's efforts to attract investments, global technology behemoth Microsoft has decided to establish a massive campus in the State with capacity for 4,000 employees, reports Economic Times.
Microsoft's campus would come up in Greater Noida and a virtual agreement for the same was signed on Monday (29 June) during a discussion between Microsoft's India managing director (MD) Rajiv Kumar and UP's MSME minister Sidharth Nath Singh.
Microsoft India will be carrying out site inspections in Greater Noida, and also along the Yamuna Expressway, following which, upon finalisation of a site the State Government will examine the proposal.
It should be noted that once established, this would mark Microsoft’s second-largest campus in all of India in terms of number of employees. The company presently has two campuses in Hyderabad and Bengaluru with capacities of 5,000 and 2,000 employees each.
