The BJP and JD(U) combine are giving a tough fight to the RJD and Congress led Mahagathbandhan as it is neck on neck in the early trends.
As reported by Zee News, the NDA is currently leading on 103 seats, just two seats behind the tally of the Mahagathbandhan which leads on 102 seats. Independents and other parties are leading on nine seats.
These early leads largely appear to be bucking the prediction of Exit Polls which had decisively called the election in RJD's favour, with some even predicting a landslide victory.
The BJP though would be cautious in assessing the early leads considering the events of 2015 assembly results when the party had similarly made a strong start before the tide completely turned against its favour.
