In a positive development, Nepalese authorities have stopped the road construction activity in the no-man's land at the Indo-Nepal border in Uttar Pradesh (UP)'s Pilibhit district, reports Times of India.
As per details made public by Pilibhit's District Magistrate (DM) Vaibhav Srivastava, the Nepalese authorities have assured that the work being pursued by them near Pillar No. 38 in the district's Hazara area would be stopped.
“We felt that there was some construction going on at the no man’s land but Nepalese authorities have assured us that it would come to a stop,” Srivastava said.
The border pillars have been identified by the survey teams of both the nations who will be taking up the building of pillars as soon as possible with the help of survey teams.
