Elderly dhaba owners in Delhi's Malviya Nagar who were struggling to make ends meet, are now receiving overwhelming support from netizens after their heartbreaking story went viral on social media.

In the video shot by YouTuber Gaurav Wasan, the elderly couple named Kanta Prasad - fondly known as Baba and Badamni Devi, have been running the Dhaba since 1988. They reach the establishment everyday at 6.30 AM and open their dhaba for customers at 9.30 AM.

They serve dishes like Matar Paneer, Aalu Paratha and thalis modestly priced between Rs 40 to Rs 50.

They also said that even at the age of 80 they are self-dependent and do not get any support from their children.

Their story was soon amplified on twitter, with many appealing to people to support such small street vendors as part of Make-In-India and Vocal For Local initiatives.

While speaking to Madhur, Baba said that he wishes to move his Dhaba to a regular shop and also needs to make urgent repairs to his house. Baba added that his main wish is that people patronise their shop.
