Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi on Saturday (14 March) asserted that the Government of India will be working with the people of all sections to ensure the restoration of absolute statehood for the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) at an early opportunity, reports Times of India.
PM Modi also underscored that there shall be no demographic changes in the UT of J&K. He made the assertion during a meeting with a delegation of political leaders of the newly floated political party from the UT, J&K Apni Party.
Bukhari had led a delegation of 24 leaders of his party. Post his meeting with PM Modi, Bukhari exuded, "He is a man of commitment. His heart beats for the people of J&K."
The meeting took up varied subjects including the implementation of central laws in UT of J&K, delimitation exercise, demographic changes, youth empowerment, and employment opportunities.
