The R&AW (Research and Analysis Wing) and Intelligence Bureau have unearthed a conspiracy by Khalistan Commando Force (KCF) to target a farmers' leader protesting at Delhi's borders, reports ANI.

KCF, a terror outfit, is under the radar of Central intelligence agencies regarding the issue.

The conspirators from Belgium and the United Kingdom (UK) in coordinated manner have prepared a plan to eliminate a farmer leader protesting at Delhi's border to settle scores for his "alleged involvement in eliminating KCF cadres from Punjab in the past".

The KCF is a militant organization involved in various assassinations in India. The outfit has members based in various countries like Canada, United Kingdom, Belgium and Pakistan.

According to the inputs received by agencies, the KCF perceived that killing of the leader at this juncture could lead to increase in violence in India and onus of killing will be on government agencies or workers of a political party.

Recently on 8 February, the Uttar Pradesh Police have arrested an alleged 'pro-Khalistan' terrorist from Lucknow in a joint operation with the Punjab Police.

According to a statement by the police, the accused identified as Jagdev Singh a.k.a Jagga is resident of Punjab's Firozpur and was allegedly involved in pro-Khalistan activities.

Earlier on 26 January, members from pro-Khalistan separatist groups gathered along with others outside the Indian Embassy in Washington DC to support the cause of agitating farmers in New Delhi.

On the same day, the Indian Embassy in Italy's Rome was vandalized by scores of pro-Khalistan supporters. Flags of Khalistan were raised at night, while slogans hailing Khalistan were scribbled on the walls.
