The Ram temple in Ayodhya will be designed in a way that the rays of the sun fall on the idol of Ram Lalla every Ram Navami. The design will be inspired by Konark's Sun Temple, said a member of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust, as reported.

The trust is holding consultation with scientists, astronomers and technologists to design the temple in a way that the sun rays fall on the deity inside the sanctum sanctorum, said Kameshwar Choupal of the temple trust.

" The Sun temple at Konark in Odisha is an example where the sun rays reach inside the temple. In such a situation, all the technical aspects and state-of-the-art technology are being considered regarding how the rays of the sun reach the sanctum," said Choupal, as quoted.

The second phase of the temple's foundation is expected to be completed by mid-November, as per the officials. Post which, the work on the construction of the plant is to be started while the construction of pillars and overhead structure is to take off in April 2022.

While the original plan of the temple was to have two floors, the current model is of a three-storey structure, with a museum, archive room, research centre, auditorium, goshala, tourist centre administrative building, yoga centre and other facilities.
