SAD MLA Majinder S Sirsa (@mssirsa/Twitter)
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and Rajouri Garden Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Majinder S Sirsa yesterday (5 May) lambasted former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi and called him "Mob Lyncher Number 1" referring to the 1984 anti-sikh riots when Gandhi was the prime minister, reports India Today.
The remark from Sirsa came at the backdrop of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's calling him 'Bhrashtachari No 1' (Corrupt No 1) yesterday (5 May).
PM Modi unleashed a flurry of statements against former prime minister in a political campaign rally while attacking incumbent Congress party president Rahul Gandhi.
"Your father was termed 'Mr Clean' by his courtiers, but his life ended as 'Bhrashtachari No 1' (corrupt number 1)," PM Modi said.
PM Modi further criticised Congress party president and said, "The naamdaar must clearly listen that this Modi was not born with a golden spoon, nor was he born in any royal family."
