Launching a string of poll promises ahead of the 2022 state assembly elections Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday announced free non commercial electricity to the tune of 300 units, 24-hour power supply and free electricity for farmers if the party comes to power in Goa.

Notably, Kejriwal had made similar promises earlier last week in the states of Punjab and Uttarakhand who are slated to go to the polls in the next year.

Addressing a press conference in Panaji, Kejriwal who arrived in Goa on Tuesday also said that the promises were not a "chunavi jumla", but a solemn guarantee by the party to the people of Goa.

Kejriwal on Sunday (11 July) had promised free electricity and waiver of old power bills if elected to power in Uttarakhand.

The chief minister had stated that in terms of electricity, he would guarantee four things. "After our government is formed, we will provide 300 units free electricity. Farmers will receive free electricity. Old bills will be waived off. It will take some time to provide 24-hour electricity, but we will do it," Kejriwal said on Sunday.
