All Policy, No Politics: Modi Has Never Mentioned BJP On ‘Mann Ki Baat’ In Four Years, Says Report

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has talked about multiple issues on his Mann Ki Baat radio programme, including his government’s initiatives, but has never made any mention of the Bharatiya Janata Party, a report in The Print says.
According to this report by Ruhi Tewari, the 48th edition of Modi’s Mann Ki Baat, which aired on 30 September, marked four years of the programme. The radio show, which is broadcast on the last Sunday of every month, made its debut on 3 October 2014, around five months after he came to power.
A detailed analysis of all the episodes gives an idea of the Prime Minister’s favourite topics, the report says. These include Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Yoga and sports, among others. He has also talked about specially-abled persons, Goods and Services tax and national security.
On some occasions, Modi has also used the show to talk about his government’s initiatives. These induce demonetisation, minimum support prices and the 'controversial’ Land Acquisition Act ordinances. However, the report says, the Prime Minister has never been overtly political.
