‘Always By Your Side’: Land Scam Accused Robert Vadra Congratulates Wife Priyanka For Entry Into Active Politics

Controversial businessman Robert Vadra congratulated his wife Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday (23 January) for being appointed the Congress general secretary from Uttar Pradesh East, Hindustan Times has reported.
He attached a photo of the couple in a collage which also contained the Congress party’s logo.
Besides Priyanka, senior Congress leader from Madhya Pradesh, Jyotiraditya Scindia, has been appointed general secretary of Uttar Pradesh West. Veteran leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has been relieved from his role as general secretary for Uttar Pradesh and will, from now on, be AICC general secretary for Haryana.
K C Venugopal has been appointed the national general secretary of the party.
He and his mother Maureen Vadra have been directed by the Rajasthan High Court to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on 12 February, in connection with the Bikaner land scam.
The ED had earlier filed a fresh money laundering case against Vadra in connection with financial and other irregularities in land deals in Haryana’s Gurgaon back in 2008.
