A Dish Best Served Cold: Amarnath Attackers Wiped Out By The Army

The group of Kashmiri terrorists who were involved in the attack against Amarnath pilgrims last July have been reportedly eliminated.
Jammu and Kashmir’s Director General of Police (DGP) SP Vaid, on Tuesday (5 December) announced via Twitter that bodies of three terrorists have been recovered and a fourth has been caught alive after an encounter in Qazigund, finishing off the group that was involved in the Amarnath Yatra attack.
On 10 July, in the evening, seven Hindu pilgrims were killed and 15 injured when terrorists had attacked a bus carrying 56 passengers in South Kashmir.
The Army had previously killed Abu Ismail, the commander of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Kashmir. He was behind the planning of the Yatra attack. Furkan, a Pakistani national, had taken over as the operational commander following Ismail’s killing. Abu Mavia was another Pakistani terrorist who was killed in the encounter, along with Yawar, a local recruit.
The encounter began on Monday, after the terrorists attacked an Army convoy, and fled to a nearby village when the Army retaliated. Three local youths were injured when the villagers tried to march towards the site of the encounter and the police had to disperse the crowd using force.
