Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi will visit Amethi in Uttar Pradesh today (3 March) and dedicate the Indo-Russia Rifles Pvt Limited to the nation in Kauhar, along with announcing projects worth Rs 11,000 crore in Rahul Gandhi’s bastion.

Indo-Russia Rifles Pvt Ltd is a joint venture between India’s Ordinance factory and Russian firm and is a milestone in Indo-Russian cooperation as reported by PIB.

Union ministers Smriti Irani, Nirmala Sitharaman, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Ram Naik and UP BJP Chief Mahendra Nath Pandey along with many senior ministers and BJP leaders will also be present on the occasion.

The latest series of the iconic Kalashnikov rifles will be made in the Korwa Ordinance Factory as the central government on 14 February (Thursday) approved a proposal to manufacture 7.5 lakh Kalashnikov rifles to be built by Ordnance Factory Board, reports Business Standard.

This joint venture is a shining example of Make in India, which is a venture which bolsters the armed forces in the country and strengthens the national security. Furthermore, the factory will also generate employment opportunities in Amethi and nearby areas.

Along with this, PM Modi is set to unveil several development projects which are related to power generation, education, health and manufacturing sectors.
