Republic TV editor in chief Arnab Goswami has moved the Supreme Court seeking the quashing of FIRs which have been filed against him after he questioned Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s reported silence over the brutal lynching of Sadhus in Palghar.

The matter will be heard by a bench of Justices D Y Chandrachud and M R Shah via video-conferencing at 10.30 AM tomorrow (23 April).

Arnab Goswami has earned the ire of various Congress leaders and supporters after he questioned Sonia Gandhi on live television. This resulted in a slew of FIRs against him in various states like Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.

He was also attacked on the intervening night of the 22 and 23 April by two bike borne assailants who attempted to break down his car window and threw bottles of ink. They were later apprehended and are purportedly members of the Youth Congress.
