Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Mehbooba Mufti has termed India as ‘occupation force’ with a Presidential order revoking Article 370 having been notified earlier today (5 August).
She also called the accession of J&K to India as ‘null and void’ and said that PM Modi had betrayed their trust. The PDP leader had earlier served for 2 years as the state’s CM in alliance with the BJP.
She also said that the Kashmir issue has been complicated as it is set to be divided into 2 union territories, Ladakh and J&K.
The J&K Reorgnisation bill is to be presented in Rajya Sabha today is currently being discussed by the members. Several parties, traditionally not aligned with the NDA have expressed support for the bill and the revocation of Article 370 calling 5 August as a historical day.
