Artificial Intelligence For Budding Minds: President Kovind Says Students Should Be Prepared For Technological Advancements

Speaking at the inauguration of the centenary celebrations of the DAV college in Kanpur, President Ram Nath Kovind on Monday (26 February) called upon students to be prepared to keep pace with the new technological developments taking place globally, reports Hindustan Times.

He stressed that of artificial intelligence and further advancements in technology would be the highlights of this century.

"Knowledge-based education is the need of the hour as it will open anew and broader horizon for students in every field," he added. He also urged the students to learn how to balance their personal and as well as vocational life to achieve greater success.

“In those days, hostel life was very peaceful and quiet. We often reached the Green Park Stadium just opposite the college and sat on its stairs to study in a peaceful environment.” The President, who studied at DAV College from 1965 to 1967 was quoted saying by HT.

He also paid his tributes to the soldiers who were martyred in the Pulwama attack.

The President also unveiled the statue of former prime minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Senior member of DAV Kum Kum Swaroop, , briefed the President on the progress of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Centre for Excellence, Atal Dwar and the renovation of Atal auditorium.

Swaroop also promised to provide free education to Supriya, daughter of Pradeep Yadav, who was killed in Pulwama attack.

Uttar Pradesh Chief minister Yogi Adityanath, MP Murli Manohar Joshi were also present on the occasion.
