In the wake of the ongoing controversy of the Chief Secretary of Delhi Anshu Prakash being assaulted by two legislators from the Aam Admi Party (AAP) in the presence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Lieutenant Governor (LG) of Delhi Anil Baijal held a meeting with Kejriwal and his cabinet.
Coming out of the meeting, Baijal had a stern message to Kejriwal. He tweeted out that the Kejriwal-led Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT Delhi) needs to work towards removing the mistrust between the elected government and the bureaucracy.
The situation in Delhi seems to have taken a turn for the worse for Kejriwal with his adviser V K Jain giving a written statement to the Delhi Police that he witnessed the assault. Further, the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) Association of Delhi has demanded the dissolution of the Government of the NCT and has sought an appointment with President of India Ram Nath Kovind.
Earlier today (23 February) Naresh Balyan, an AAP MLA representing Uttam Nagar in the assembly was caught on video inciting people to assault bureaucrats who did not ‘toe the line’.

The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
