Former IPS Officer Bharati Ghosh who is BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate from Ghatal in West Bengal was heckled at a polling booth on Sunday (12 May) during the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha polls, Times Now reported.

Ghosh was heckled after she reached at a polling booth in the constituency amidst reports of her polling agent not being allowed to enter the booth. As per reports, Ghosh was moved to tears after women TMC workers surrounded her and began heckling which continued even after she entered the polling booth.

The report also claimed that her vehicle was also vandalised during the. Vehicles belonging to the security forces and the media were also vandalised.

Just last night, two BJP workers identified as Ananta Guchait & Ranjit Maity were shot in East Mednipur’s Bhagabanpur. Another BJP worker named Raman Singh was found dead in the region.

Earlier, amidst reports of persistent political violence in the state, the convoy of senior BJP leaders like Himanta Biswa Sarma, Dilip Ghosh and Babul Supriyo was vandalised. by suspected TMC workers.
