Bengaluru: Massive 300 Tonne, 64 Feet Tall Monolithic Statue Of Bhagwan Vishnu Brought To Temple In Viveknagar

A massive 64 feet tall monolithic statue of Vishwaroop MahaVishnu was brought to a temple in Bengaluru on Tuesday (4 June). The statue, weighing 300 tonne, will be installed in the premises of Kothandaramaswamy temple in Viveknagar area of Bengaluru, reports ANI.
According to the report, as the statue arrived at the temple, large number of people started gathering at the spot to get a glimpse of the structure and to offer their prayers to the almighty.
The statue was transported from Tamil Nadu to the temple in Bengaluru, Karnataka. It took almost seven to eight months to transport the statue, said a local resident involved with the project.
“Many people worked hard and local residents from Tamil Nadu also supported the cause. Presently, the height of the statue is 64-65 feet and the width is about 26 feet,” said the local resident, as reported by ANI.
He said that the installation and project completion will take two to three years and once completed, the height of the structure would be 108 feet.
