Bodh Gaya Serial Blasts Case: Five Indian Mujahideen Terrorists Convicted By Specia NIA Court

Five Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorists have been convicted by a special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in the 2013 Bodh Gaya serial blasts case.
The five terrorists, identified as Imtiyaz Ansari, Haider Ali, Mujib Ullah, Omair Siddiqui and Azharuddin Qureishi - were held guilty by the court and the quantum of punishment will be announced on 31 May. The sixth accused - a juvenile - was sentenced to three years in remand home.
On 7 July 2013, ten bombs exploded in and around the Mahabodhi temple complex in Gaya. While no deaths were reported, a large number of people were injured in the attack that also left some parts of the temple complex damaged.
The temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, had been on the watch-list of the Intelligence Bureau and Research and Analysis Wing since October 2012.
