The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has demanded its schools to embrace the learning objectives which are prepared by the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) from the 2019-20 academic session.

The schools have been instructed to go ‘beyond textbooks as a complete curriculum’ and lay emphasis on the accomplishment of “desired levels of competency” along with posters of ‘compact learning outcomes” in their campuses.

“The system of education needs to ensure enabling conditions to allow each child to learn and progress. Students and teachers should be aware of the learning outcomes at each stage of the teaching-learning process,” said a board circular as reported by Times of India.

Furthermore, the schools will also spread awareness in parents of the students at the elementary level on various competencies by orchestrating parent-teacher meeting on a yearly basis.

Instructions have been given to school principals to assume pedagogical leadership of schools and help the teachers to prepare for the annual curriculum plans using pedagogical processes.
