The Institute of Chartered Accountancy of India (ICAI) in a notice dated 21 September has announced that it is moving towards a digital evaluation of all Intermediate and Foundation level answer sheets for the November 2019 and May 2020 exams.
This will result in doing away with the physical handling of the copies, avoiding marks variation and eliminating totalling errors.
ICAI has also announced that CA aspirants would be awarded step marking and would be enforced during re-evaluation in case it was not awarded in the first place.
In case of multiple choice questions, OMR based evaluation would be carried out to avoid subjectivity.
The examiners for various CA exams would be selected on the basis of an online test covering their subject expertise. They would have to appear for this test every three years.
Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
