The Chinese People's Liberation Army inflicted extreme violence on Indian Army soldiers and also went to the extent of disfiguring their faces beyond recognition, Economic Times has reported.
The brutality by the Chinese included slitting necks and disfiguring faces of Indian soldiers beyond recognition.
"Around 17 soldiers had extreme violence marks on their bodies. The officers present in the hospital and Army base were directed to not click pictures of the bodies...the three may have died of drowning. However, others had punctures all over their bodies. Faces of at least three soldiers were unrecognisable and three others had slit marks on their neck", an official was quoted as saying.
China carried out a premeditated and unprovoked attack on the Indian troops in Galwan Valley with reports indicating that their troops outnumbered Indians in a 1:5 ratio. Despite the odds, Indian Army fought back and inflicted over 40 casualties on the Chinese side.
