China's Jiangsu University based in Eastern China's Jiangsu Province has threatened one of its Indian students of action over an alleged act of posting offensive comments against Chinese people on social media, reports Times of India.
The comments posted on the Chinese Twitter-like platform called Sina Weibo by the Indian student with surname 'Kadukkasseri' have gone viral. Over the same, the University has said that it shall be punishing the student for acting in breach of the regulations for overseas students after investigation.
The development comes amid the growing tensions between India and China with the latter's belligerence on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Eastern Ladakh sector. Already 20 Indian Army soldiers including an officer have been martyred while killing down several Chinese soldiers the count and identities of whom have not been revealed by China.
