A National Investigative Agency (NIA) special court sentenced three accused in the Chinnaswamy blast case to seven years imprisonment.
The judgement comes eight years after two blasts rocked the stadium on 17 April 2010 just before a cricket match was to be held as part of the Indian Premier League.
The three accused are said to have pleaded guilty before Justice Siddalinga Prabhu of indirect involvement in the blast which include attending a meeting with the Bhatkal brothers Yasin and Riyaz - the prime accused in the case, to discuss the blast and providing facilities to other accused in Bengaluru. The sentence includes one year of rigorous imprisonment.

The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
