After foiling the infiltration bid of Pakistani soldiers across the Line of Control (LoC), the Indian Army has offered the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to to take over the dead bodies, reports ANI.
On Saturday, More than five Pak BAT army regulars/terrorists’ infiltration bid across the LoC, orchestrated by the Border Action Team (BAT) of Pakistan Army, was foiled by Indian Army in Jammu and Kashmir's Keran sector.
Briefing on the development, a senior Army officer said that a group of 5-7, comprising terrorists and Special Services Group of the Pakistan Army were killed in an unsuccessful BAT operation which began on the intervening night of 31 July and 1 August.
"Four bodies have been seen lying on our side of the LoC, in close proximity to our posts. But there is continuing cross-border firing in the sector," said the officer.
Despite the continuing cross border firing, the Indian Army has offered the Pakistan Army to come with a white flag, and take over the dead bodies of its subjects for last rites.
The official spokesperson of the Pakistan Army has called the claims of Indian Army a staged drama and mere propaganda to divert attention from Kashmir.
“Indian allegations of cross LOC action by Pakistan and possession of bodies are mere propaganda. Such blatant lies / staged dramas are Indian disinformation manoeuvre to divert world attention from increased atrocities by Indian Occupation Forces inside IOJ&K,” he said in a tweet.
In the past, Indian Army had given proper burial to the Pakistani soldiers slain on Indian side after Pakistan refused to take them back in the the aftermath of the Kargil war.
Pakistan is desperately trying to push terrorists from Jaish-e-Muhammed and other organisations across the LoC for the last 36-48 hours. Intelligence agencies have alerted the forces about the presence of 200-250 terrorists at various launch pads across Pak occupied Kashmir (PoK), awaiting to cross the LoC, taking advantage of misty conditions and the cover firing by the Pakistan army.
