The Congress government in the state of Madhya Pradesh has demanded the resignation of Governor Anandiben Patel and has accused her of working as an ‘agent’ of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), reports Indian Express.
These allegations come after a comment by the ex-Chief Minister of Gujarat during a visit to a solar power plant in Gudh in Rewa district on 2 February (Saturday) where she is alleged to have said “Modi sahab ka dhyan rakhana’’ to the villagers who raised the issue of employment for local youths.
“If she wants to work like a BJP worker, she should resign and contest the Lok Sabha elections,” said Sobha Oza, Congress media in-charge. Furthermore, Oza alleged that Patel, during her address to the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, did not read the point about farm loan waiver and instead read a BJP slogan that was not part of the written speech.
Last year, Patel was seen advising BJP workers on how to work to get votes, during her visit to Satna.
