Congress leader Digvijaya Singh.
Congress leader Digvijay Singh was trolled for attacking Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath by tweeting photos of ambulances from Andhra Pradesh and claimed that they were gathering dust even as the state faced a fund crunch, Times Now has reported.
“What has Yogi ji done to UP? 108, 102 ambulances that were flagged off by Akhilesh Yadav’s government are rusting while sick are carried on carts in your state,” the Congress leader Tweeted. Twitter users quickly pointed out that the ambulances had Telugu text and that the Congress leader had spread the fake news on social media.
The Congress leader’s fake news tweet snowballed into allegations of fake evidence produced by him in the Vyapam case. An advocate had recently filed a case against Congress leaders including Digvijaya for fabricating evidence in Vyapam case.
Vyapam scam refers to corruption in exams held by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board, also called ‘Vyavasayik Pareeksha Mandal’ for admission in professional courses and state services.
