Coronavirus In India: 10,667 New Cases Raise Covid-19 Tally To 3.43 Lakh; Here's The Latest State-Wise Breakup

The Covid-19 tally in India recorded a spike of 10,667 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total case count in the country to 3,43,091, the Union Health Ministry data revealed on Tuesday (16 June).

According to the Health Ministry, of the total, 153,178 are active cases while at least 180,013 people have been cured of the disease.

At least 380 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total fatality count to 9,900.

Maharashtra, which has emerged as the worst Coronavirus-hit state in the country, has so far recorded 1,10,744 cases, including 4,128 fatalities, and 56,049 recoveries. Tamil Nadu followed with 46,504 cases. The Covid-19 tally in Delhi has crossed the 42,000-mark with as many as 42,829 cases recorded so far in the national capital. Gujarat has reported 24,055 cases so far.

States with most casualties after Maharashtra are Gujarat (1,505), Delhi (1,400), West Bengal (485), Tamil Nadu (479) and Madhya Pradesh (465).

States with more than 9,000 cases are Uttar Pradesh (13,615), Rajasthan (12,981), West Bengal (11,494) and Madhya Pradesh (10,935).

Among other states/UTs where Corona cases have surged past 2,000-mark are Haryana (7,722), Karnataka (7,213), Bihar (6,650), Andhra Pradesh (6,456), Jammu and Kashmir (5,220), Telangana (5,193), Odisha (4,055), Assam (4,158), Punjab (3,267) and Kerala (2,543).

According to the Health Ministry, 7,684 cases are being re-assigned to states.
