Coronavirus In India: Record 12,881 New Cases Raise Covid-19 Tally To 366,946; Here's The Latest State-Wise Breakup

With the highest single-day spike of 12,881 new cases in the last 24 hours, the Covid-19 tally in India has surged to 3,66,946, the Union Health Ministry data revealed on Thursday (18 June).

According to the Health Ministry, of the total, 160,384 are active cases while at least 194,325 people have been cured of the disease.

The number of Covid-19 death toll in the country has increased from Wednesday's 11,903 to 12,237, an increase of 334 in the last 24 hours.

Maharashtra, which has emerged as the worst Coronavirus-hit state in the country, has so far recorded 1,16,752 cases, including 5,651 fatalities, and 59,166 recoveries. Tamil Nadu followed with 50,193 cases. The Covid-19 tally in Delhi has crossed the 47,000-mark with as many as 47,102 cases recorded so far in the national capital. Gujarat has reported 25,093 cases so far.


States with more than 9,000 cases are Uttar Pradesh (14,598), Rajasthan (13,542), West Bengal (11,909) and Madhya Pradesh (11,083).

Among other states/UTs where Corona cases have surged past 2,000-mark are Haryana (8,832), Karnataka (7,734), Andhra Pradesh (7,071), Bihar (6,942), Telangana (5,675), Jammu and Kashmir (5,406), Odisha (4,338), Assam (4,605), Punjab (3,497), Kerala (2,697) and Uttarakhand (2,023).

According to the Health Ministry, 8,703 cases are being re-assigned to states.
