The total number of people confirmed positive for the coronavirus in India has increased to 49,391 while 1,694 deaths were reported across the country, as per the latest data updated at 8 am today (6 May) by the Health Ministry.
According to the Health Ministry data, the confirmed cases of Covid-19 include 49,280 Indians and 111 foreign nationals.
India has reported 2,958 Covid-19 positive cases in the past 24 hours.
Additionally, the total number of discharged/cured patients has risen to 14,182, while one patient has reportedly migrated to Singapore as per the latest data.
The total number of active cases across the country stands at 33,514 at the time of writing this report.
