In the case involving the alleged assault of Delhi’s Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash, the Delhi High Court today (25 October) has granted bail to Chief Minister (CM) Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and 11 other AAP MLAs, Economic Times has reported.

The 11 legislators who have been named in the charge sheet include Amanatullah Khan, Prakash Jarwal, Nitin Tyagi, Rituraj Govind, Sanjeev Jha, Ajay Dutt, Rajesh Rishi, Rajesh Gupta, Madan Lal, Parveen Kumar and Dinesh Mohania.

In February 2018, the Chief Secretary had alleged that he had been assaulted by two AAP MLAs when he was summoned by the CM for an emergency meeting late in the night. The AAP MLAs in question are Amanatullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal.

Later a 1,300-page chargesheet was lodged by the police under eight IPC sections and later added five more. In a statement to the police, CM’s advisor VK Jain said that he 'saw Amanatullah Khan, Prakash Jarwal assault Delhi chief secretary.' The allegations were denied by the Aam Aadmi Party.
