Delhi Elections: 51 Per Cent AAP Candidates Have Criminal Cases; 20 Per Cent From Congress, BJP At 25 Per Cent

As per the report of Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), around 36 candidates from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), contesting in the upcoming Delhi Assembly election, have declared criminal cases against them, reports India Today.
The number accounts for around 51 per cent of AAP’s total candidates that are contesting in the upcoming Delhi elections.
The report further mentions that the number states that 17 of the 67 candidates (around 25.3 per cent) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), 13 out of 66 (around 20 per cent) of the Congress and 10 out of Bahujan Samaj Party's total 66 candidates have declared criminal cases against them in their affidavits.
All parties combined, as many as 672 candidates have filled their nominations for the upcoming elections. Among them, around 133 or nearly 20 per cent have declared criminal cases against them.
State Assembly elections in the national capital Delhi will take place on 8 February, 2020, while the results will be declared on 11 February after the vote counting.
