Delhi Metro: Dilshad Garden To New Bus Adda Corridor To Be Inspected By CMRS

The 9.41 km long Dilshad Garden to New Bus Adda section of Delhi Metro’s Red Line will be inspected by the Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) on 5 February (Tuesday).
The 9.41 km elevated section comprises eight stations, Raj Bagh, Mohan Nagar, Shahid Nagar, Rajendra Nagar, New Bus Adda, Hindon River Station, Shyam Park and Arthala. This section will be an extension of the 25.09-km Dilshad-Rithala Garden corridor.
After this section is opened, the Delhi Metro network span will become 336.5 km with 244 metro stations. Throughout the 9.41 km, about 400 pillars have been erected at a height between 10 m to 12 m from the ground.
The cost of the project had varied since 2014 when the project was conceived. Initially, in 2014 it was Rs 1770 crore; however the DMRC came up with revised DPR pegging the project cost at Rs 2210 crore.
The metro line will be connecting people from Ghaziabad to various parts of Delhi / NCR. As reported by Metro Rail News, it is estimated that DMRC this corridor will see a daily ridership of about 20,000 passengers.
