The Delhi Public Works Department (PWD), a unit of the Delhi government has fined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rs 27 lakh for unauthorised occupation of a bungalow on Rouse Avenue reports PTI. The notice was issued to AAP’s national secretary Pankaj Gupta for his continued occupation of 206, Rouse Avenue as the party’s office. The fine amount, as of 31 May was Rs 27,73,802.
The AAP government had approved a policy to allot land to political parties in November 2015, following which the Rouse Avenue bungalow was allotted.
