The National Testing Agency (NTA) would be conducting entrance examinations for over 180 courses including undergraduate courses of the Delhi University, the Times of India reports.

The NTA, for admission into UG courses, would consider marks scored in the entrance tests and qualifying class XII examinations. NTA, which comes under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) will conduct entrance exams for 11 UG courses along with MPhil, PhD and Masters programmes.

Dean of examinations Vinay Gupta said that the exams would take place in three sessions per day. The centres would have network Jammers and CCTV surveillance. The exam would have 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs), which are designed to evaluate the aptitude of students in areas relevant to each subject.

The time limit for the exam would be two hours, and students would get a score of plus four marks for each correct answer, negative marking of minus one mark for wrong answers and zero marks for questions left unanswered.

The exams are most likely to be scheduled between 20 June and 1 July and the final schedule would be uploaded on the portal. Gupta adds that the students would be given the first preference while selecting examinations centres.

The concerned board would declare results in a week, and answers to the question papers will be uploaded in 24 hours and students would have 48 hours to solve grievances or challenge in the answers.
