Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Mann Ki Baat program today (25 April) appealed to people to not get swayed over any rumours about the vaccine.
"Friends, in this period of Corona crisis, all are getting aware of the importance of vaccine … so it is my appeal that don’t get swayed by any rumour about the vaccine. You all must be knowing that people above 45 years of age can benefit from the free vaccine that has been sent to all state governments by the government of India.", said Prime Minister Modi.
Prime Minister Modi also interacted with Srinagar government medical college professor Dr Naveed Nazeer Shah during which the latter asserted that till now, in our place, no gross adverse effects have been found in vaccines that have been administered.
"Quite a few misconceptions or myths about this have come up on social media enumerating the side effects … till now, in our place, no side effects have been found in vaccines that have been administered. Only things that are routinely associated with every vaccine – someone getting fever, ache in the entire body or getting pain locally where injection is applied- we have seen such side effects in all patients, we have not seen any gross adverse effect", Dr Shah said.
Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
