Drama For Power Continues In Karnataka: Despite Upcoming Meeting, Three Congress MLAs Remain Elusive

It seems that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has not lost all hope to topple the seven-month-old HD Kumaraswamy government as three Congress MLAs along with two independent MLAs remain elusive.
The Congress Legislative Party (CLP) is to be held today (Friday) at Vidhan Soudha, and if about 10 MLAs fail to turn up, it can be safely assumed that BJP’s mission is still on. The BJP is pinning their hopes on Congress MLAs Ramesh Jarakiholi, Mahesh Kumatalli and Umesh Jadhav, as reported by Times of India.
MLAs JN Ganesh and Shivaram Hebbar, who were on BJP’s list returned to the state and declared their allegiance to the incumbent party. While Hebbar admitted that he is unhappy with the Congress government at not getting a cabinet berth, he said he would, however, fight for it by staying in the party. On the other hand, Ganesh refused any claims of being in Mumbai and said that he was in Chikkamagaluru with family and friends.
The CLP leader Siddaramaiah has warned the absentees of action under the 10th schedule of the Constitution which deals with the defection.
